Mesa United Way is working to bring people together to create lasting change that will improve lives in our community.

Lasting community change means improving lives by identifying the root cause of problems and then working to alleviate or prevent them by influencing community attitudes, networks, and organizations. We partner with agencies whose programs provide direct services focused on preventing specific issues and includes direct services to individuals and families.  We also strive to partner with programs and agencies to provide crisis and emergency services.

Mesa United Way is studying and implementing our new community focus-community change. With your help, we will continue to preserve key existing community relationships while forging new partnerships to properly identify core issues, share responsibilities, and ensure lasting, effective change.

Community Care Fund

Working together, we will identify ways to create lasting change for the future by identifying and eliminating the root cause of our community's problems.

Mesa United Way's Community Care Fund provides financial support to a wide variety of essential human services throughout our community. This network of supported agencies and programs includes many large organizations well known to the public and some that are small and have little public recognition, serving quietly behind-the-scenes. Regardless of the size and purpose of these agencies, collectively they help to improve Mesa's quality-of-life for everyone.

When you support the Community Care Fund your gifts provide food, shelter, and other basic human services as well as address the changing needs of our senior population, create opportunities for people with disabilities, and confront the challenges face by our children and families.

By directing your dollars to the Community Care Fund--the most effective way to address the needs in our community-your gift, combined with the gifts of others, will lead to positive change right here in Mesa.

For those with a more specific passion or a particular type of service in mind, Mesa United Way also offers an opportunity to direct gifts toward one or more specific focus areas:

Caring for the Elderly

These community needs are addressed by local agencies, whom you and other volunteers help select through our Community Investment Process.

Agencies are selected for their ability to maximize your donations by producing successful outcomes.
