Program: Assistance for Independent Living
Assistance for Independent Living (AIL) delivers non-medical affordable in-home support services and volunteer medical & grocery transport to older adults, 55 and over, who are frail, homebound and low income residing in the East Valley. Keeping individuals in their homes as they age, allows older adults to remain independent with a stronger sense of well-being at much less cost than premature institutionalization thus providing a significant cost savings to the older adult and society at large.

Program: East Valley RSVP
Description: East Valley Senior Services, Inc. provides comprehensive programs and services to enhance dignity and promote independence of adults 50 years and better. East Valley RSVP taps the time and talents of volunteers age 55 and older. They are able to assist volunteers in finding just the right match for their interest and talents. They also provides supplementary accident, automobile and liability insurance; a limited mileage reimbursement; and recognition for volunteers which is often lacking or non-existent in the nonprofit community due to lack of funding. The program recruits and provides volunteer leaders who serve on Advisory Committees, boards, focus groups and other groups which fast become the heartbeat of the agencies they serve.

Program: Home Delivered Meals
Description: The mission of Home Delivered Meals is to provide nutritious meals to homebound persons in a friendly and timely manner. Home Delivered Meals is the only program in our community that provides subsidized meals to the elderly and the homebound. This population is faced with many barriers to locating needed services. The elderly and the disabled are at an increased risk of poor nutrition due to age related and condition related mental and physical changes.

Program: Outreach Services
Description: Outreach Services provide individual assistance and community presentations to help guide individuals in finding relevant resources and referrals to meet their needs. The vision of Outreach Services is to assist at-risk individuals with resources to avoid crisis situations. The goals of Outreach Services include:
• Continue to provide a comprehensive approach in assisting clients with community resources (phone calls, walk-ins and home visits).
• Continue to provide the initial assessment for all potential Meals for clients.
• Provide caregiver forums and classes to persons of all ages.
• Explore providing programs and services to grandparents raising. grandchildren.

Description: The program's mission is to maintain the quality of life for elderly individuals who are afflicted with a life altering illness and support for their caregivers as they meet the daily challenges of caregiving. Their goals are to maintain individuals in their home for as long as possible, to enhance their social, physical and cognitive abilities and reduce the stress levels of their caregivers.
