Mesa United Way's Ready to Learn InitiativeAngelic Baby

Mesa United Way has established Ready to Learn to educate parents, grandparents, caregivers, and the community at large about the importance of proper brain development for children birth to age six.  The Ready to Learn Initiative is a partnership with people in business, government, labor, education, and health and human services working together to ensure children have the tools they need to succeed in school.

Ready to Learn accomplishes its goals by focusing the community on three areas:

  • Educating adults about how children develop and encouraging them to make a commitment to help all children succeed.
  • Aiding parents to obtain the health and human services they may need.
  • Building partnerships with individuals and groups who work with children and families so that all children's needs are met.
