United Way Day of Caring
Hundreds of volunteers make a difference during the annual United Way Day of Caring event. The event, which takes place on one day, has grown to become a year-round activity. Many local companies have embraced the concept and regularly gather several volunteer groups together to visit nonprofit organizations and lend a hand.
The United Way Day of Caring is a great opportunity for team-building and allows volunteers to make a hands-on impact in the Mesa community. Volunteers and donors either spend a day in a United Way agency meeting their needs by completing projects they haven't had the time, money or staff to address or go onsite to needed areas to lend a hand.
Over the past years, nearly 5,000 volunteers have participated in Mesa United Way's Day of Caring.
Our 2009 Day of Caring is scheduled for June 21, 2009.
