Mesa United Way Has the First Two Recovery Act Americorps VISTAs in the State of Arizona but still needs MORE!
Mesa United Way was pleased to be selected as one of the first organizations in the nation to make use of the Recovery Act AmeriCorps VISTAs (Volunteers in Service to America).
Mesa United Way has VISTA serving in all areas of Resource Development including: Education, Marketing, Communications, Outreach, Technology, Financial Resource Development, and Promoting Volunteerism. Opportunities can be found by CLICKING HERE.
AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteers will give:
• A year of time.
• A lifetime of experience.
• A better life to hundreds if not thousands.
• Hope and inspiration to others.
AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteers will get:
• Satisfaction.
• A chance to improve our corner of the world.
• $10,692 in pay.
• A small monthly contribution towards housing or utilities.
• Healthcare benefits while in service.
• An end-of-service education grant in excess of $5,300 or a post-service stipend of $1,500.
